    Student Code of Conduct

The safety and well-being of every student is our number one priority at Caradoc Public School. To ensure a safe and welcoming environment, it is necessary to have some basic expectations for student to follow. When these rules are adhered to we create a positive learning environment where each child can achieve maximum potential and development, as well as a respectful, friendly and considerate environment in which to work and play.

Electronic devices pose a number of major concerns for school staff and students involving safety, privacy issues and disruptions to instructional time. Photography and video capture are strictly prohibited on our school property. Caradoc Public School does not assume responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged electronic devices. Non-compliance by the student may result in disciplinary actions.

Personal electronic devices: Students may bring their own device (BYOD) to school for use in classroom activities with teacher supervision and are responsible for their own device. The Technology Policy applies, and the device can only be used with teacher direction for educational purposes. Devices shall not be used during lunch or break times. Students who access their devices without permission will be counselled about the policy and will have their device submitted to the office, either for student pick up at the end of the day, or for repetitive disregard of the policy, parent/guardian will need to come in to pick up the device. Please talk to your children about this; it may be better for their device to stay home until teachers ask students to BYOD.

    Thank you for your support.

    The Caradoc team.

School hours are 8:50am - 3:20pm each day and supervision on the yard begins at 8:35am. Please remember only students and staff should be in the yard. This allows us to better supervise our students (your children). Parents, we ask you to please try to stay on the perimeter of the yards.

Parents who would like to sign their children out are asked to notify the office prior to 12 noon through School Messenger or communicate through the student planner. After school arrangements should be made in advance of the school day. Please keep in mind that every minute of instruction is valuable learning time and we want to limit classroom disruptions. We therefore request that you limit early sign-outs to appointments and /or special circumstances. Thank you.
